CONTRACT & PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST
Reporting to the General Manager, the Contract & Procurement Specialist will assist with the project procurement process including; preparation of request for quotation (RFQ), finding and reaching out qualified vendors/suppliers, getting proposals/quotations, preparation of proposals/quotations evaluation report, preparation of purchase orders, following up the purchase order status and delivery.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare RFQ, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
- Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
- Execute the procurement of products and services in accordance with the company procedures and standards
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
- Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
- Analyze industry and demand trends and support management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
- Ensuring compliance with all related laws and regulations
- Developing and maintaining supplier relationships
- Coordinating with other departments
Skills / Qualifications
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Engineering
- Minimum 8 years proven work experience as a Contract & Procurement Specialist
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
- Proficiency in English
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
- Proven team player skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
