CONTRACT & PROCUREMENT SPECIALIST

Reporting to the General Manager, the Contract & Procurement Specialist will assist with the project procurement process including; preparation of request for quotation (RFQ), finding and reaching out qualified vendors/suppliers, getting proposals/quotations, preparation of proposals/quotations evaluation report, preparation of purchase orders, following up the purchase order status and delivery.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare RFQ, request quotes and negotiate purchase terms and conditions
  • Prepare and issue purchase orders and agreements
  • Execute the procurement of products and services in accordance with the company procedures and standards
  • Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues and concerns
  • Inspect and evaluate the quality of purchased items and resolve shortcomings
  • Analyze industry and demand trends and support management with the development and implementation of sourcing strategies
  • Ensuring compliance with all related laws and regulations
  • Developing and maintaining supplier relationships
  • Coordinating with other departments

 

Skills / Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Engineering
  • Minimum 8 years proven work experience as a Contract & Procurement Specialist
  • Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies
  • Proficiency in English
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and with business application software, purchasing and resource planning systems
  • Proven team player skills with ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships
